Halifax is a beautiful city. I just moved here and i must say Canada is Beautiful. Nova scotia is pretty.
Covering adventures one by one. Will add up as i visit more. Wherever you go, you will find the coast, the ocean or a lake. Beautiful bay area.
1. Peggy’s Cove
This is one of the light house area which is soo pretty. The drive to this place is mesmerizing. Take a look at the pics and you will know.
2. Herring Cove Trail :
A beautiful walk with waves splashing right in front of you is one pretty view. On the way you will cross few parks too.
3. Oaklawn Farm Zoo
One weekend we were not sure where to go. So we just thought will go for a long drive and may be go to Wolfville. Well that was our destination but then gps showed few miles ahead there is a zoo. And truly its been a while that we visited zoo. So we drove. Good 2 hours drive and reached the zoo.
It was snowy day and for me such events were for thr first time so i love roadtrips and random plans.
We halted nearby for lunch at the Vicky’s Seafood restaurant. Yummy food.
Zoo has lions, tigers and variety of pythons and what not. It was nice visit with ticket fee being 9$ each.
4. Halifax Harbour Waterfront
You just need some air or you want to get out of the house but do not know where to go? Let me help you.
Just walk in this area and you will feel peaceful. Just sit around and stare the light houses and different islands.
Pretty to walk right in the city!
5. Sambro
A place good to drive to and visit. I just loved the spot and got down to get few clicks.
6. Bedford
Right next to Halifax, take turn towards Bedford. The whole road to bedford is with coast view. Then reach to the Waterfront harbour boardwalk.
You can cruise during summer.
7. Citadel Hill, Halifax
Well within the city you have a national historic site. It is the heart of Halifax.
You can walk as well as drive around it. Take a look.
8. Lunenburg
One weekend we were not sure where to go so we just took off and searched for waterfronts. We got Lunenburg which was an hour drive from Halifax. Well we were actually going to the Waterfront but it was not much so we went to see the light house. Blue rocks light house which is a pretty beautiful place. This area is fisherman’s wharf. Some local said it is famous for movie shoots.
Well we could not take the trail due to winter weather but just drove.
